Fostering wellness: International Yoga Day celebrations held at Yenepoya School

Mangaluru, Jun 23: The Yenepoya School, Yenepoya World School and Yenepoya PU College commemorated International Yoga Day with great fervor in the auditorium. The enthusiastic students of class IX spearheaded the special assembly, which commenced with a solemn prayer and the school anthem.

Following the news bulletin and thought-provoking reflection, a student delivered an eloquent oration on the significance of Yoga Day and its relevance in contemporary life.

Subsequently, a group of students, under the expert guidance of their Physical Education instructor, showcased an impressive yoga drill that captivated the audience. The associate director, Anthony Joseph, then addressed the gathering, underscoring the importance of yoga in fostering physical and mental well-being. The assembly culminated with the National Anthem.

In a subsequent segment, students from each class participated in performing various yogasanas within the auditorium, thereby embodying the spirit of Yoga Day. The celebration was marked by moments of profound engagement and meaningful observance, rendering it a truly enriching experience.
